So, has it been a while since we heard from Drawn To Life: Two Realms? Well, as everyone who’s played this great arcade classic knows, not really. While the original game was pretty good, a few of the levels were lost and never added back. As a result, some people have given up on the idea that there will ever be more from this series. Well, as soon as last month, developer Digital Continue has teamed up with 505 Games to bring the long-awaited sequel to Drawn To Life: Two Realms to our gaming world.
That’s right, folks, Two Realms is getting a complete overhaul. This time around, the game will feature all-new characters and all-new gameplay. Here’s what you can expect. First off, the game will feature a completely new storyline, set ten years after the first game’s events. Here, you’ll get to experience the drawn-out story and different gameplay, as well as some new characters.

Realms are at war

Two realms are at war, and only one can claim the throne. To do that, you’ll have to prove your worth asking by earning more money than your opponent while filling up your fortress. In earlier versions, earning coins would earn you items for your fortress, which wasn’t much use if you couldn’t find a decent enemy for fighting. This time around, though, you’ll have to fight against all types of enemies and bosses, and you can customize your character any way you want. You can choose how you’re going to look, as well as how you want your castle to look.
The upgrade system in this version has been improved, too, with various new weapons and items available. Some weapons allow you to attack twice per turn, meaning you can easily deal out a lot of damage in a short amount of time. The new village mode allows you to do a few things differently, too. In the village mode, you have to guide a group of villagers, teaching them new skills and tricks to help you on your journey through the game.
Battle system
The battle system has also been improved. Previously, if you were to get hit during battle, the screen would fade to black, and your hero would die. Now, you can take cover and stay out of combat to recover, but only up to a certain point. If you want to fight even harder, you can purchase additional cards for your drawn collection.
This brand new game is a port of the popular Nintendo DS game of the same name. The now-defunct Sega licenses that game. In Drawn To Life: Two Realms, players take on the role of a boy who must protect his town from an evil demon. You play the role of Luke in that game – and as you do in Drawn To Life: Two Realms, you have to protect your home and do some rescuing as well. There are three difficulty settings, and a special “Credits” section allows you to add friends and unlock extra characters as you go through the game. This version also features online play (using the Wi-Fi feature of your Nintendo DS).
Meet new characters
As you progress through the game, you’ll meet new characters who will help you and improve your gameplay experience. Two of the more prominent characters are the evil witch “Sokka” and her dog, Pooky. Each of the three hero levels in this game comes with its own themed item that you can use to personalize your gameplay experience. These special item outfits change the way you look, too – so you can switch between them to mix things up a bit if you get bored with one.

The graphics and music are both solid. The voice-over work is excellent, fitting in perfectly with each character’s story and voice actor. Overall, Drawn To Life: Two Realms takes a lot of what made the original game successful and improves upon it. This is a great game for anyone who loves to play DS games and loves customization. It’s well worth the money, which is roughly half the price of the original. It’s not just another god DS game, but rather an upgrade that makes this game as much fun and unique as the first game.
