Dead Cells can be an exceptionally tough game for new players and fortunately, we have compiled a list of Tips and Tricks to make the journey a little less frustrating. Apr 29, 2020 What is Dead Cells? Dead Cells is a roguelike, Castlevania-inspired action-platformer, allowing you to explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle assuming you’re able to fight your way past its keepers. To beat the game you’ll have to master 2D souls-like like combat with the ever present threat of permadeath looming. Mar 11, 2019 Dead Cells is a strange delight of an action platformer. Dead Cells is a hybrid of roguelike and Metroidvania-style action platformer in which you take on the role of a blob of cells inhabiting a decapitated corpse.
- Speaking of weapons, Dead Cells features a plethora of ways to slay your enemies. A large variety of swords, bows and of course spells, but also whips, grenades and turrets, each one with its own unique twist. Plus, mutations and scrolls allow you to build and customize your character differently with each and every run.
- Dead Cells puts you in control of a failed alchemic experiment trying to figure out what's happening on a sprawling, ever-changing and seemingly cursed Island. Tough but fair combat, responsive controls, challenging foes, permadeath and of course, the emergency panic roll to get you out of trouble, make for a demanding, visceral and cathartic action game.
The Collector is an NPC in Dead Cells. He invites the player to give him cells and blueprints in return for experimental items and more power. Purchases from the Collector carry over through each run.

Dialogue[edit | edit source]
First time meeting the Collector:
- 'Well, look who it is...'
- 'I'm the collector, and I'm about the closest thing you'll find to decent company around here.'
- 'Bring me the CELLS you gather from the others. In exchange, i'll procure a few useful little items for you...'
- 'Should you stumble upon a BLUEPRINT, bring it to me and I will introduce you to some more... experimental items.'
Notes[edit | edit source]
- According to the Blacksmith and the Tailor's quotes, the Collector appears to have connections with them.
- The Collector shares a similar leg structure with the Bomber enemy. Whether this is intentional or not is unknown.
